Wimbotsham win Downham Kwik Cricket Festival
Congratulations to Wimbotsham and Stow Primary school who won the Downham Cluster Kwik Cricket festival on Wednesday 30th May.
A record breaking 10 schools took part in the competition which took place at Downham Cricket Club and was supported by umpires from the club.
Schools taking part were Southery, Ten Mile Bank, Denver, Hilgay, Hillcrest, Clackclose, Upwell, William Marshall, Runcton Holme and Wimbotsham.
Following round robin matches in three pools all pool winners met to contest the top three places. Following some very close matches Wimbotsham emerged as winners with Hillcrest runners up and Runcton Holme third.
Best wishes go to Wimbotsham and Hillcrest who now progress to the SSP finals on the 12th June.
