West finish in second place at School Games

On Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th June over 350 students from West Norfolk competed in the Norfolk School Games at the UEA Sportspark Norwich.

This being the first event of it's kind saw a culmination of all Partnership competition winners competing to become County champions.

The West Norfolk squad comprised of all SSP winners across a whole spectrum of sports from Gymnastics to Athletics to Hockey to Golf and more.

Guest Athletes attending over the two days included Steve Backley who met many of our students. 

The event as a whole was a great success with West Norfolk finishing in a very well deserved second place overall, a superb achievement by all the competitors involved. 

This event has ensured that competitors have progressed from their own school clubs into Cluster competitions leading into SSP finals and ultimately the Norfolk school games - a great and successful Player pathway. 

Many thanks to all schools in West Norfolk who have supported the Partnership through recent National cutbacks and still have the drive, passion and ambition to compete at such a high level and gain such a fantastic result.
